Monday Night Football is a live weekly broadcast of the National Football League. It airs on ESPN in the United States. It used to air on ABC until 2005. However, in 2011, during the first day of the year’s regular season, the network (ESPN) extended the contract for eight more seasons which will now run till 2021. The new contract is valued at $14.2 billion and could go as high as $16 billion with ESPN having the right to expand highlights and international streaming rights. Wild Card playoff games may also be part of the broadcast. Also, as part of the rights agreement signed in 2011, ESPN has exclusive rights to the Pro Bowl starting from 2015 right up until 2022.
