The Tennis Channel is a Tennis specific sports channel owned by the Sinclair Television Group which is a subsidiary of the Sinclair Broadcast Group. In addition to Tennis, the channel covers other racquet sports like racquetball and badminton. Originally launched in 2003, it is headquartered in Santa Monica, California. However, back then it was owned by Steve Bellamy, the founder of the network. In March 2017, the Sinclair Television Group acquired the network along with the website Tennis.com and Tennis magazine, in a bid to integrate the channel with them effectively boosting cross-platform promotion.
